Hi, I’m Ludovico Fischer. I am a software developer living in the Netherlands. I work with computers, obviously, but I also work hard to understand the businesses that make computers necessary in the first place. I write a blog about software development.

Professional software development

My favourite software is free software, but I am also interested in the innovations that big commercial players deliver. I now work mainly with Java, but I have also practiced Perl, JavaScript and Python. Some of my open source contributions are on Github.

My favourite database server is PostgreSQL.

My favourite up-and-coming technologies are Redis and Clojure. Do more with less.

Design

I love design and I am a bit of a typography fanatic.

Experience both in frontend and backend development and I have got a good understanding of usability issues
